Without foster homes, there is no rescue

Open your home. Save a life.

Fostering is the single most impactful thing you can do for kittens in Houston. We provide the supplies, the vet care, and the training — you provide a safe space and some love.

We provide

  • All food, formula, and bottles
  • Litter, litter boxes, and heating pads
  • Medical supplies and medications
  • Vet care coordination and appointments
  • 24/7 support and mentorship from experienced fosters

You provide

  • A spare room, bathroom, or quiet corner
  • Time to feed and clean (varies by kitten age)
  • Willingness to learn — we teach everything
  • A safe, cat-friendly environment
  • The ability to let them go to their forever home

Ways to help

Not every kitten is a 2am bottle baby. Here are the different ways you can plug in.

Neonatal foster

Bottle-feed and care for kittens under 4 weeks. Highest need, highest reward. Requires flexibility for around-the-clock feedings.

Weaning & socialization foster

Kittens 4-8 weeks — transitioning to solid food, learning the litter box, and getting used to people.

Grow-out foster

Kittens 8+ weeks who need a home base until they hit adoption weight and go through spay/neuter.

Medical foster

Short-term homes for kittens recovering from URI, ringworm, or post-surgery care. Extra support provided.

Transport volunteer

Help ferry kittens to and from vet appointments, intakes, and adoption meetups around Houston.

Behind-the-scenes

Social media, photography, admin, event help. If you have a skill, we probably need it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Reach out

Send us a message telling us a little about your household and what kind of fostering interests you.

  2. 2

    Chat and match

We'll talk through what's involved, answer questions, and figure out a good starting fit — often kittens near weaning for first-time fosters.

  3. 3

    Get set up

We deliver supplies, walk you through care, and stay on call. Your job is to feed, clean, and love.

  4. 4

    Send them home

When they're old enough, we handle vetting and adoption. You get bragging rights and photos forever.
